Robinson Memorial Endowment Fund

The Robinson Memorial Endowment Fund has been established within the Franklin County Community Foundation in remembrance of Ann and Percy Robinson who were grateful to live the majority of their lives in Franklin County. Mr. Robinson was a local businessman inheriting the entrepreneurial spirit from his father who was also involved in his own self-employed ventures.

Mrs. Robinson began working outside the home in order to provide for three children when her husband, Percy, died in the early 1950’s. Each of these offspring attended and graduated from Brookville Public schools. Mrs. Robinson was elected as both county Recorder and Assessor but was better known as the lady who managed the License Branch in Brookville for numerous years.

A directory of 5-10 local non-profits will be maintained from which this fund will offer financial support on a yearly rotating basis. This list will be retained and provided to those who inquire by the FCCF along with any specific grant stipulations. At the fund’s inception, the following organizations were identified to receive funding:

  1. Franklin County Humane Society
  2. New Horizons (WATCH Center Brookville)
  3. American Legion (Bernard Hurst Post 77)
  4. Town of Brookville
  5. Brookville Red Men Tribe #220
  6. Franklin County Public Library
  7. Brookville Volunteer Fire Department
  8. St. Michael School
  9. Franklin County Junior Soccer League
