Rhonda Fields was born in Batesville, Indiana, on November 8, 1958 to Bernard and Marilyn Hertel Fields. She was a member of St. Thomas Lutheran Church in Brookville. She loved watching old TV shows, doing word search puzzles, and spending time with family and friends. She also enjoyed her mother’s meals and going on one-day trips. While recovering from hip surgery, Rhonda contracted Covid-19. She passed away from the virus on Monday, September 7, 2020. She is survived by her mother, Marilyn Fields and a brother, Mike Fields as well as aunts, uncles and cousins.
As a tribute to Rhonda, the Rhonda Fields Memorial Endowment has been established within the Franklin County Community Foundation by her mother and late father, Bernard. The primary purpose of the fund will provide support to Franklin County residents who are mentally or physically handicapped and need equipment for the hearing impaired. Secondary consideration will be given to New Horizons Rehabilitation, Inc. located in Brookville, Indiana, for recreational activities.
