In 2010 the family of Florence Underwood was pleased to announce The Florence Underwood Memorial Endowment established in the Franklin County Community Foundation in her memory.
“Flossie” was a life-long member of St. Thomas Lutheran Church and always valued the importance of the funeral luncheons provided by the Lutheran Church Women for family and friends of deceased members of the congregation. To help perpetuate this service, the Florence Underwood Memorial Endowment was established.
When income is available from the fund, a portion of the income will be granted to the St. Thomas Lutheran Church to assist in funding its funeral luncheons.
In 2014, in honor of Virginia Hunt’s 90th birthday, contributions were made to the fund. The name of the fund was changed at that time to the Florence Underwood/Virginia Hunt Endowment.
