Charles K. & Betty L. Sprague Family Endowment

Charles “Charley” and Betty Sprague have lived in Brookville for more than 55 years. The couple has three children; Charles R. Sprague, John R. Sprague and Cathy A. Sprague, all graduates of Brookville High School. Charley spent 39 years at Brookville High School. In continuation of their dedication and commitment to education, Charley and Betty have established the Charles K. and Betty L. Sprague Family Endowment in the Franklin County Community Foundation. The purpose of the endowment is to provide scholarships to students graduating from Franklin County High School. Primary consideration is given to students in need of financial assistance who plan to study education with the intention of becoming an elementary, high school or special education teacher. The scholarship is distributed to the student when he or she is entering their second semester of their freshman year of college.
