Warren Wyatt Wells Memorial Scholarship

Wyatt could swing a golf club as well as wiring an entire telecommunications substation or reeling in a big fish at his pond.

Wyatt grew up in Portland, Ind. with his mother June, father Warren, two brothers, Matt and J.C. and his sister, Whitney. He graduated from Jay County High School in 1976 and spent four years in the air force. He worked in the telecommunications field before beginning U.S. Communications in 1994.

His wife, Yvonne, said he enjoyed traveling, especially with his family, fishing, golfing and had a strong love for the Green Bay Packers, a legacy passed on from his father. He was a member of the Elks in Portland, the National Rifle Association and the Columbia Club in Indianapolis.

Wyatt passed away at the age of 43, December 30, 2001. He left behind a loving family, successful business and many friends at golf courses and fishing holes across his home state of Indiana. Wyatt’s legacy lives on through a scholarship endowment established through the Franklin County Community Foundation by his wife Yvonne, step-daughter Landyn and daughter Sarah. The scholarship aides a graduate of Franklin County High School for the purpose of furthering his or her education.
