Joseph E. Stenger Memorial Scholarship

Born September 14, 1979, Joseph Stenger was a farmer and a parishioner at St. Michael Catholic Church. A member of the Knights of Columbus Council #1010, he was a fan of NASCAR and the Indianapolis Colts. He was a handyman and enjoyed keeping busy, whether it was repairing or restoring farm equipment or construction and woodworking projects.

Joseph married Tiffany Amrhein on June 25, 2005 at the Sisters of St. Francis Chapel in Oldenburg. He loved spending time with Tiffany and their children, Isabella, Mackinzi and Jacob. Joe was a friendly, smiling person who was always willing to lend a hand to help others.

As a memorial to her husband, who passed away September 1, 2015, Tiffany has established the Joseph E. Stenger Memorial Scholarship Endowment within the Franklin County Community Foundation. The purpose of the fund is to provide scholarships to graduating high school seniors who are residents of Franklin County. Applicants must be pursuing a degree at a technical college. They must have also been involved with either FFA, 4-H, Cross Country, Track or belong to St. Michael’s Catholic Church.
