The Franklin County Home & Garden Show is held in Brookville each spring. It has been a successful event including home improvement and decorating ideas, outdoor equipment, landscaping displays and many other vendors and booths designed for the home and garden enthusiast.
Although plans for a similar event are in progress, the group that has managed the Home & Garden Show to this point is restructuring. The original organizers have made the decision to establish an endowment in the Franklin County Community Foundation using proceeds from the last six years. The Franklin County Home & Garden Show Endowment will be used to provide grants for charitable programs or activities intending to make improvements to Franklin County. The founders of the fund propose that grants from the endowment be used for enhancements to areas throughout the county such as the Canal Trail, local parks, etc.
